Ostankino Tower was awarded with “Putevodnaya Zvezda” Prize

Ostankino Tower was awarded with “Putevovnaya Zvezda” Prize “For outstanding contribution to development of tourism in Moscow city”. Ostankino Tower was awarded with the annual tourist premium “Putevovnaya Zvezda” in the nomination “Traveler’s Attraction Points”.

The premium was approved in 1999 by the Committee of Tourism of Moscow city for enhancement of the quality of tourist and tourist services, hotel services, for creation of the positive metropolitan image as a global tourist center, for improvement of efficiency of advertizing and information campaigns, and for assistance in growth of the tourist flows to Moscow city.

This year, solemn ceremony of awarding of winners and award holders took place in hotel “Balchug Kempinsky”. Chairman of the Committee of Tourism and Hotel Industry of Moscow city, Sergey Pavlovich Shpil’ko, had opened the ceremony. Head of the Department of Mass Media and Advertisement of Moscow city, Chernikov Vladimir Vasilyevich, Deputy Head of the Department of Family and Youth Policy of Moscow city, Philippov Vladimir Eduardovich, Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Tourism and Hotel Industry of Moscow city, Rudenko Irina Yuryevna, as well as the legendary TV presenter, Nikolay Drozdov, were honored guests of the awarding ceremony.

Entertainment program of the evening, represented by Valeria Lanskaya and Mark Tishman, had composed performances of the lead singers of Moscow theatre “Helikon Opera”, jazz band "SugarMamMas", and singer, Valery Syutkin. Mark Tishman had noted that Ostankino Tower has no competitors in the tourist industry, given that the observation deck allows the eye embracing the entire Moscow city. Ostankino Tower thanks the organizers of the awarding ceremony, as well as winners and prize holders of the ceremony for the high-grade event.
