Ostankino Tower invites for Shrovetide festivities

Despite the fact there was no real winter in Moscow this year, no one has canceled tradition of its wires.

Round dance, Russian folk fun and delicious pancakes await everyone on this Sunday in the Ostankino TV Tower.

From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the foot of the tower, Shrovetide festivities of the XVIII-XIX centuries will be held.

The youngest guests will enjoy face painting with features of a wide Shrovetide: the sun, smiles and rosy cheeks. Also for children and adults there will hold straw dolls making master class. Tweaks balalaika players will amuse everyone with Russian folk songs. And in Samovar room visitors can treat themselves to delicious pancakes and tea, and admire old tableware.

Lovers of outdoor activities are waiting for running in bags, tugging of rope and other folk fun. A photo point with Russian folk outfits will work on the observation deck.
