On 7 May, 1895, russian physicist and electrical engineer Alexander Popov showed his invented receiver. He demonstrated ability of transmitting and receiving of short and long signals up to distance of 64 meters.

Over 125 years, scale of radio signals spread has highly increased. Now RTRN includes 78 branches, which provide uninterrupted TV and radio signals delivery to all Russian regions. They broadcast about 40 large and 550 local TV and radio channels. For example, in Moscow and Moscow region there are 20 TV and 3 radio channels in the digital format, 21 TV and 28 radio channels in the analog format.
